About the band....
Saklamara came into being starting in 2021 from a series of late night jam sessions at Anthony Geannaris's barber shop in East Arlington, MA starting in 2021. Anthony is a very experienced percussionist, bouzouki and guitar player, and song writer who has led the band as it has taken shape, many of its original tunes influenced by Greek rhythms and scales. Each member of the band has contributed from their own experiences in music ranging from Mediterranean to jazz, to rock, to funk, to pop.

Highlights and Achievements...
Saklamara enjoyed a very successful LIVE recording session at The Den in North Reading, Massachusetts which produced seven shared tunes on SoundCloud.
Saklamara recorded a lively video session at ACMI studios in Arlington, Massachusetts, for a TV series entitled "Studio Sessions" in which the band performed and was interviewed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvKpfuftF_I
Saklamara played a sold out (120 seats) show at the Capitol Theater March 9, 2024.
